Ginsberg's social responsibility

A recent thread started by started by Linh Dinh on Poetry's Harriet Blog particularly caught my attention. It focused on how Ginsberg's poetry is now an aging relic, and that Moloch, whom he passionately fought, is winning - America is creating a society of mindless, governmentally imposed drones. There were several good comments, but in the end, I don't think we can really blame him for our condition. Check out the thread.
